Youth
Program

Structured classes that build respect, patience and focus through positive reinforcement — then back it with real skill.

Times and tuition

Youth train Thursday and Friday, 5:00–6:30 PM, and Saturday, 9:00–10:30 AM, at the Don Nash Community Center in South Shore.

Tuition is $70 per month. Start with the $10 introductory course to see whether it suits your child before committing monthly.

Not sure about your child's age? Call (872) 348-2444 and we will tell you honestly whether it is the right time.

What parents are actually buying

Most parents who call are not hoping to raise a fighter. They want a child who carries themselves differently — who can hold a boundary, read a room, and not look like an easy choice. That is what this program is built to produce.

The self-defence is real and it is taught properly. But the discipline, the attention span and the habit of finishing what you start are the parts that show up at home and at school.

How the classes run

Structure firstClear expectations, a consistent format, and correction delivered without humiliation.
Positive reinforcementProgress is recognised. Kids who are told what they are doing right repeat it.
Real skill, age-appropriateThe same principles as the adult system, taught at a pace and intensity that fits a child.
Restraint as a ruleWhen not to use it is taught as seriously as how. Nothing here is a licence to escalate.
01
They show up on time The first thing that changes, and the least dramatic. A fixed schedule with an instructor who notices when you are missing builds the habit before it builds anything else.
02
They hold a boundary Saying no, and meaning it, without escalating. Most of what makes a child a target is uncertainty, and this is where that starts to go.
03
They read the room Noticing who is where, what is changing, and when to leave. Awareness is trained deliberately here, not left to instinct.
04
They carry themselves differently The part parents actually notice, and the part that has nothing to do with fighting. It shows up at school long before it would ever show up in a confrontation.

“My biggest concern was relinquishing my son into the care of someone I didn't know, but those concerns quickly disappeared. Sifu Willis has been a consummate professional — respectful, patient, and extremely skilled in working with all ages.”

Train alongside your child

Youth and adult sessions overlap by thirty minutes on every training day — youth 5:00–6:30, adults 6:00–7:30 on Thursday and Friday. One trip covers both, and children who see a parent training tend to stay with it.
